Expanding healthcare capacity in Ripley
The Ripley Sub-Acute Hospital Expansion adds a new 6,715 sqm public healthcare facility to Queensland Health's growing Ripley health precinct.
Built alongside the existing Ripley Satellite Health Centre, the three-storey hospital provides 90 sub-acute beds and modern clinical spaces that support patient recovery and community healthcare needs.
Connected to the existing health centre through public and back-of-house links, the facility improves patient flow, strengthens clinical services and expands healthcare capacity in one of Queensland's fastest-growing regions.

Built for a complex healthcare environment
The project presented several challenges, including a constrained site, complex hospital services and integration with a live healthcare environment. Through early collaboration with Queensland Health, consultants and end users, the project team delivered a highly coordinated digital healthcare facility while maintaining uninterrupted operations at the neighbouring health centre.
Designed around patient wellbeing, the hospital maximises natural light, clear circulation and therapeutic spaces. It also incorporates advanced building services, medical gas systems and digital health infrastructure to support modern models of care.

Delivering long-term community benefits
Delivered under an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) managing contractor model, the project demonstrates the value of early planning, strong stakeholder engagement and technical expertise in complex healthcare construction.
The completed facility will support the growing Ripley community and help meet increasing demand for healthcare services across the region.
