Ovals

Hutchies is honoured to have worked on the National Cricket Campus Stages A & B in partnership with Cricket Australia and Queensland Cricket. The project included the construction of a new cricket pavilion, upgrade of sports field lighting, new turf training wickets, minor works to Oval 1 (Healy Oval) and redevelopment of Ovals 2 & 3 (Alan Pettigrew Oval and Geoff Dymock Oval).

The project creates and optimises a National Cricket Campus for the development of high quality, adaptable players for Australian Cricket that inspires, unites and engages with the Australian community.

The NCC capitalises on the previous investment made in the Bupa National Cricket Centre by further investing in a new community facility at Shaw Road. It represents the combination of these parts into a fully integrated world class indoor and outdoor cricket facility for use by the local community and beyond for 365 days of the year.

We have sports in our DNA over Hutchies’ long history, we’ve been involved in a number of advanced training facilities including recently completing the new high performance training centre for Brisbane Broncos at Red Hill and started one with the Townsville Cowboys. We respect how much projects like the National Cricket Campus contribute long term to communities, and we’re honoured to be involved in its evolution. This will be the ground where some of the world’s best players are trained and developed into future international cricket stars.
