Hutchies congratulates the team behind one of the world's most sustainable building modernisation projects: Midtown Centre.
Designed by Fender Fatsalidis and developed by AsheMorgan and DMANN Corporation, this iconic project is a global exemplar of adaptive reuse of older buildings.
Midtown Centre was recognised with two accolades for excellence at the The Urban Developer 2022 Awards for Design Innovation and Sustainability.
The project achieved embodied carbon savings of 50,000 tons of concrete and 3,600 tons of steel — resulting in a certified 11,000 tons of carbon savings.
These awards take Midtown Centre's total to six industry accolades in 2022 so far, which we are extremely proud of.

Originally two B grade office buildings over thirty years old and facing increasing obsolesce, Health and Forestry House in the Brisbane CBD was a prime candidate for redevelopment.
