#Kick off your construction career in Cairns

Our Cairns office has been part of the region since 1997, building strong local relationships and backing real employment and training opportunities for people in the area.

We’re looking for Construction Cadets and Project Administrators to join our team. These roles suit people who want to build a long term career in construction, get hands-on experience on real projects, and keep learning as they go.

Whether you’re studying a diploma or degree in construction and keen to get your foot in the door, or you’re already in a project administration role and ready to step up, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll get exposure to a wide range of projects and learning opportunities, with the chance to build real capability over time.

#The Role

This is a hands on opportunity for someone who wants to grow into construction delivery, contract administration, commercial support, or broader project roles over time.

Day to day, this can include:

  • Supporting contract and project documentation
  • Keeping records and registers up to date
  • Assisting with document control and compliance
  • Providing general project and admin support
  • Getting exposure to how live construction jobs are delivered

You won’t just be doing admin for admin’s sake; the whole point of the role is to build your skills, understand how projects run, and set yourself up for bigger roles down the track.

#Who could this suit?

We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Studying a Diploma of Building & Construction, Construction Management, or a related course and want to work while you study
  • Already working in project admin, office admin, or a junior construction support role and ready to step into the project/commercial side
  • Practical, organised, and keen to learn how projects run (both on site and in the office)

#What you'll bring

  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • A willingness to learn and get stuck in
  • The ability to work well in a team and use initiative
  • Confidence using Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • A genuine interest in construction and how projects come together

Agency submissions won't be considered for this position.
