Hutchies’ teams celebrated at the Australian Institute of Building’s National Professional Excellence Awards in Melbourne last week.

It has been another successful year with two Professional Excellence awards and four High Commendations.

The awards provide an opportunity to showcase and reinforce the important role building professionals play in solving complex challenges and managing the construction process. They also serve as a forum to acknowledge industry leadership who deliver their projects with the highest levels of expertise.

Hutchies was honoured with Professional Excellence Awards for Rendu Towers by Ozcare and Infinity Towers, both in the Commercial Construction $60 million plus category.

We are also proud of the following projects that received High Commendations:

Pillow Talk Headquarters & Warehouse (Commercial Construction $25 million to $60 million)
31 Duncan Street (Commercial Construction $60 million plus)
Rendu Towers by Ozcare (Residential Construction $60 million plus)

Professional Excellence / Commercial Construction $60M Plus

Rendu Tower by Ozcare sets a new benchmark for senior living in the heart of Brisbane. Located in Newstead, this twin-tower retirement and aged care precinct was built in two stages over 148 weeks. It offers 259 senior places across purpose designed independent living units (ILUs) and residential aged care (RAC) beds, with a range of beautiful integrated amenities that support the lifestyle.

Infinity Towers

Professional Excellence / Commercial Construction $60M Plus

Infinity Towers was one of the most challenging project the team had encountered in their careers, primarily due to being delivered during the height of COVID-19 pressures. The combined experience of the project team, including the site manager, supervisor, and administrators, was close to one hundred years, and they all agreed it was a huge achievement for their careers. Infinity Towers stands 40 storeys tall amidst the Broadbeach landscape, becoming a true icon of the area.
